Fact. The Food & Drug Administration is responsible for issuing pet food recalls and keeps track of them on their website. Pet food companies can also recall products out of concern.
The FDA’s website provides all of the information you need if you need to submit a complaint about a specific product and what to do if a product you’ve purchased is recalled.
If you think something is wrong with your pet’s food, follow these simple steps:
- Stop feeding your pet the diet, then
- Keep the food!
- Save the packaging.
- Contact the manufacturer.
